Convert Flac to Apple Lossless Audio.

You may have tons of flac in your computer and want to play those files on you iDevice. Yes, you can encode them and convert them to Apple Lossless Audioc format alac (m4a).  Now, you may wonder how am I going to convert those files. Don’t worry I have found a solution.

Following are the 3 ways you can perform the task.

  1. MediaCoder Audio Edition: This software is my top priority for all people specially if you only want to convert flac to alac. The foremost reason that makes me like this software is because it is free. You can download this software using following link.
    32 Bit (windows only)
    Latest Version – 5135

    Previous Version – 0.7.5.4700
    64 Bit (windows only)
    Latest Version – 5135

    Previous Version – 0.7.5.4700

  2. dPoweramp Music Converter: This software is very popular among audiophiles but has a price tag. Until you are into ripping CD, batch converting, editing id tag
  3. Flac to wav and wav to Alac: Got it! No! Okay let me explain. This procedure involves first converting the audio file with any audio converter into wav file. Then importing the wav file in iTunes and using iTunes itself to convert it to the required alac format. Read this short tutorial for this purpose .
    • You can see this page for quick reference.

    • Due to the fact we aren’t using any CD we just set the importing settings.
    • Then we select the wav file and click on Advanced menu and click on Create Apple lossless version.

That’s it. If you have any problem then just drop the comments below.
